SENIOR SIDELIGHTS

Niles SCOPE Senior Center, 14 E. State St., has planned the following: Monday, bridge at 10 a.m., Arthritis Foundation exercise, 11 ($1), quilting and player’s choice cards at 1 p.m., Monday Night Cards includes sandwich and salad, 4 to 8 ($2) and weight loss support group, 5 to 8; Tuesday, square dancing with Norm Flavell at 9:30 a.m. ($3), lunch ($3 for members, $4 for others) 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., arthritis aerobics, 12:30 ($1) and pinochle, 2:30; Wednesday, chair yoga, 10 a.m. ($1), lunch, 11:30 ($3 for members, $4 for others), bingo and Texas Hold’em, 1 p.m. and cards, 2:30; Thursday, line dancing, 9:30 a.m. ($3), lunch, 11:30 ($3 members, $4 others) and bowling at McKinley Lanes, pinochle and bridge, 1 p.m.; and Friday, free art class, 10 a.m., arthritis exercise, 11 ($1), salad and sandwich, 11:30 ($2), choir practice, hand and foot card game, Jo-Ba and more card games and pool table, piano and television available when not in conflict with other activities, 1 p.m. The center will sponsor a trip to Das Dutch Haus Dinner Theater for a “Christmas at the Inn” show and a four-course plated meal on Dec. 7. The bus will leave Niles at 11 a.m. and return at approximately 3:45 p.m. The cost is $45 and includes transportation, the show and meal. The reservation deadline is Nov. 5. Senior Independence Senior Center of Mahoning County, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, has planned the following: Monday, Men’s and Women’s Needlecraft Club at 8:30 a.m., chair yoga at 10 and bridge at 1 p.m.; Tuesday, oil painting at 10 a.m., computer class at 10 and noon, and Digital Club at 2 p.m.; Wednesday, watercolor class at 10 a.m., tap class at noon and tai chi and 500 cards at 1 p.m.; Thursday, Watch Our Weight and Woodcarvers at 9 a.m., line dancing at 1 p.m. and beginner line dancing at 2; and Friday, board games and parties.
