Deadline looms for Pa. absentee ballots

MERCER, Pa.

Tuesday is the deadline to apply for absentee ballots for the Nov. 2 election. Applications can be downloaded from the Department of State’s website at www.votespa.com or can obtained at the Mercer County Courthouse and most area post offices.

Completed ballots must be received by the Bureau of Elections in the courthouse no later than 5 p.m. Friday. Call 724-662-7542 for more information.

Halloween event at senior facility

Austintown

Clare Bridge senior living facility, 1420 S. Canfield-Niles Road, is having its annual Halloween event Tuesday.

Parents are encouraged to bring their young children for trick-or-treating.

Refreshments are set for 5 p.m.; candy distribution and a parade will be at 6.
