Cruise precedes dinner party for Pacellas’ 50th

Mr. and Mrs. Patsy Pacella of Canfield celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a Caribbean cruise and during a dinner party hosted by their son, Robert Pacella, at the Fireplace Lounge, in Poland, from 1 to 5 p.m. on Oct. 17.

The former Anna Marie Battaglini and Mr. Pacella were married Oct. 15, 1960, in Sacred Heart Church, Youngstown. They are members of St. Michael Church and are the grandparents of Olivia Lucia and Gioia Maria Pacella.

From 1955-1962 Mrs. Pacella was employed in the medical records office at Northside Hospital. Afterward she worked for Youngstown City Schools and retired in 1989 from Kirkmere Elementary School. She is a part-time substitute teacher for Youngstown schools and a member of Mahoning Retired Teachers Association.

Mr. Pacella served with the U.S. Army for 21/2 years during the Berlin Crisis. In 1986 he retired from LTV Steel in Youngstown, where he was a stationary engineer. Afterward, he worked 10 years at the pro shop at Mill Creek Golf Course. He is a member of Pacentrano Men’s Club.
