Canfield’s Timko ties for 10th

Canfield High senior Bruce “Boo” Timko fired a 75 on Saturday to finish in a tie for 10th place at the Division I boys state golf championships.
Timko, who shot 80 in the first round on Friday, finished with a 36-hole total of 155 at Ohio State’s Scarlet Course.
Michael Ricaurte of Columbus St. Charles fired a 71-73—144 to win the tournament, by three shots over Beau Titsworth of Cleveland St. Ignatius.
Timko had eight pars and one bogey on the front nine on Saturday, but had four bogeys on the back nine for a 38.
Defending state champion Korey Ward of Lakota West finished in a tie for third with a 75-73—148, with Charlie Phillips of Mount Vernon.
Timko finished his career as a four-time state tournament participant, and finished in the top 10 each year.
