Marissa Mae Bruno, a daughter of Bennett Bruno and Lynn Bruno, both of East Palestine, and Joshua Edward Martin, a son of Jeff and Helen Martin of East Liverpool, were united in marriage on July 24 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Youngstown.

The Rev. Robert Bruno, an uncle of the bride, officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony, and the groom’s grandmother Rosemary Martin was the reader.

The bride wore a strapless gown with a dropped waist and sweetheart neckline. Beading enhanced the bodice and the organza skirt featured jeweled pickups and flowed into a chapel train.

Jessica Costa, the honor attendant, wore a clover green gown, as did the bridesmaids, Erika Walkosky; Ashley Martin, the groom’s sister-in-law; and Melanie Lodyn. Flower girls were the groom’s niece Faith Martin and Hannah Costa.

Eric Martin served as best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Nate Martin, also a brother of the groom; Dave Murdock; and the bride’s cousin, Mike Oberle.

The couple accepted congratulations during a reception at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park before leaving for a honeymoon in the Dominican Republic. They live at Lake Tomahawk in Negley.
