The Canfield library held a Halloween-themed Baby Brilliant: Bonding with Babies and Books storytime Oct. 11 for babies 6 to 23 months old.

Children’s librarian Jane Adams led the children and parents in songs, some of which required the parent to lift and swing their baby.

Baby Brilliant is a language enrichment program that helps with brain development in children by introducing them to words and sounds at a young age. Adams encouraged the parents to always point out letters and shapes to their children, regardless of how young they are.

Baby Brilliant to-go kits are available for order at the library. Each kit is age-specific and includes books, music and a toy.

The next Bonding with Babies and Books storytime will be Nov. 8. For information, visit www.libraryvisit.org.
