The exchange of nuptial vows took place during a 2 p.m. ceremony on Aug. 7 as Erica Gaines and Michael Gorby were united in marriage by the Rev. Harley Williams at First United Methodist Church of Niles.
The daughter of Tonya Walters of Sharpsville, Pa., and Mark Gaines of Struthers, and the son of Raymond and Laura Gorby of Niles, were honored later that day at a reception at Ciminero’s Banquet Center.
After a honeymoon cruise to the Southern Caribbean, the couple live in Ladson, S.C.
Wearing fern green gowns were the bride’s attendants, Melanie Stephens, the bride’s cousin and maid of honor, and the bridesmaids, Brandy Vallely and Olivia Jones, her cousins; Natalie Burich; Ashley Kaufman; Megan Palovsky; Stacey Mattocks; and Kelly Cumo. Flower girl was Emma Gorby, a niece of the groom.
The duties of best man were performed by Antony Cumo, and groomsmen were Joe Sosnowski, Pat Mancinetti, Zack Cogley, Marcus Penska, Richard Kramer, and the bride’s brother Travis Gaines. Ring bearer was her cousin Perry Yankevich.
Mrs. Gorby graduated from Sharon Regional School of Radiography and is an angio specialist with Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C.
Mr. Gorby is a firefighter with the City of Charleston. He attended Youngstown State University.
