Canfield’s Rob Reed is Eagle Scout
Neighbors | Submitted .Troop 25 Boy Scout of America member Robert Reed became an Eagle Scout Sept. 29 at Canfield United Methodist Church. Reed's Eagle Scout Service Project was the replacement of the walking bridge on the West Newport Trail in Mill Creek MetroPark.
Boy Scout Troop 25 chartered to Canfield United Methodist Church awarded its 164th Eagle Scout Award to Robert Reed of Canfield Sept. 29.
Reed belonged to Cub Scout Pack 25 and achieved a Webelos ranking and earned the Arrow of Light. In 2004, he joined Troop 25 of the Boy Scouts under Scoutmaster Kevin Prus, Sr. and earned 21 badges and received the Camp Seven Ranges Pipestone Award, God and Church Award, Camp McKinley Heritage Award, Gettysburg Trail Medal and Bob Roberts Memorial Back Patch Award.
Reed has been Patrol Leader, Assistant Patrol Leader, Quarter Master, Scribe and Historian. He was also a member of Wapashuwi Lodge-Order of the Arrow.
For his Eagle Scout Service Project, Reed planned, designed, coordinated and supervised the replacement of the walking bridge on the West Newport Trail of Mill Creek MetroParks.
Reed is the son of Rob and Candy Reed of Canfield.
