Bill Clinton in Valley to boost Gov. Strickland Oct. 30

Ex-President Bill Clinton will attend next Saturday's Mahoning County Democratic Party pre-Election Day breakfast urging voters to support Gov. Ted Strickland's re-election bid.

The event will be at Mr. Anthony's on South Avenue in Boardman, said Mahoning Democratic Chairman David Betras.

"On a scale of one to 10, this is about a 15," Betras said when asked how important Clinton's visit is to the Valley and Strickland's re-election effort.

The breakfast will be open to the public, but tickets will be needed, he said.

Details of how to obtain tickets aren't finalized. Mr. Anthony's can hold about 1,100 to 1,200 attendees, Betras said.

Also expected to appear are Strickland and Yvette McGee Brown, his lieutenant governor running mate.
