HOWLAND

Connor Gilmour scored two goals while Benji Rush and Chris McClearn had the others for the Tigers (14-3). Anthony Russo assisted on two goals and McClearn on one. Goalkeeper Robert Daniels made four saves. For the Falcons, Trevor Yacobone scored. Chris Platton made 10 saves and Nick Sheely made two. On Monday, Howland will play either Canton GlenOak.

GIRLS

Division II

Champion 1, Bristol 0

CHAMPION

Marissa Walker’s unassisted goal was the only score. Champion (14-2-2) advanced to the district semifinals and will play Cardinal Mooney. For the Panthers (8-9-1), Allyson Jones had 16 saves. Taylor Petersal made four saves for the Golden Flashes.

Lakeview 7, Ursuline 0

CORTLAND

Nicole Moldovan and Lindsey Clark each scored three goals while Ali Gagne had one for the Bulldogs (15-3). Gagne assisted on two goals while Clark, Justine Defrancesco and Shawna Hunter had one each. Elaine Moldovan made two saves. For the Irish, Briana Curd made 20 saves.

Mooney 4, Springfield 0

STRUTHERS

Amy Vinopal scored three goals Taylor Sikich one. Sikich had three assists and Natalee Mulhall one. Goalkeeper Rachael Lescher made two saves. For the Tigers, Jill Tabaka made 16 saves.

Salem 2, Newton Falls 1

NEWTON FALLS

Chelsea Fuson and Sara Lopez scored the goals for the Quakers (8-9-1). Fuson also had an assist. Goalkeeper Kaitlyn Kelm made six saves. For the Tigers (13-4-1), Angela Giuliano scored on an assist from Shannon Montgomery. Stephanie Nussle made nine saves. On Monday at Kent Roosevelt, Salem will play the winner of the Lake Center Christian Academy/Chagrin Falls game.
