Concert proceeds doled out to 2 local groups

WARREN — Hospice of the Valley and SCOPE, the group of senior centers in Trumbull County, have each received charitable donations of $15,000, the proceeds from a recent benefit concert by Michael Stanley and the Resonators at the W.D. Packard Music Hall.

The charity concert Sept. 25 was the first conducted by Packed House Productions. The checks were given out today.

“We want to raise awareness and funds for charities through music,” said Dr. James DeVengencie, local dentist who founded Packed House with his wife Dr. Laura DeVengencie earlier this year. The concert was sold out.
