Nebraska: Nebraska football coach Bo Pelini says the Cornhuskers’ focus against Oklahoma State will be on stopping wide receiver Justin Blackmon. Pelini says Blackmon is an aggressive player and “does a great job of attacking the ball down the field.” Blackmon leads the NCAA in receiving yards per game, scoring and touchdown receptions. The coach says Nebraska will have to be just as aggressive in Saturday’s away game and will need to execute plays more consistently.

Penn State: Adam Taliaferro is proof that injured players like Rutgers’ Eric LeGrand can walk again. Ten years after doctors initially thought he would be a quadriplegic following a spinal cord injury after a tackle at Ohio State, the former Penn State defensive back walks with barely a limp. Taliaferro says his family has reached out to Rutgers to offer assistance to LeGrand, who suffered a similar injury last week during a tackle against Army. Rutgers coach Greg Schiano told reporters Thursday in Piscataway, N.J., there were no updates he could share on LeGrand’s condition. Taliaferro said it took him until about 10 days after the injury before he could begin moving. Now a lawyer, he also heads a foundation which offers financial and emotional support to athletes with spinal cord injuries.
