2nd annual Bocce Game of Hope Monday at MVR

The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley presents the second annual “Bocce Game of Hope,” that will take place in conjunction with 2010 Youngstown State University Homecoming festivities.

The event is slated for 5:15 p.m Monday at Cassese’s MVR, at 410 N. Walnut St., in the historical district of Smoky Hollow near the YSU campus.

Part of the proceeds from food and drink go to the cause, with additional drink specials all night long.

In addition, Dr. Cynthia Anderson, YSU president, will serve as a celebrity bartender with other local leaders during the event, with all tips going to the cause.

Teams are now being formed and everyone from pros to first-timers are welcome. Registration fee is $20 per person or $7 per person for YSU students with a valid ID. Maximum number of people per team is 8. Mixes allowed. Prices include all nonalcoholic beverages.

The winning team will receive four tickets to the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns game Jan. 2.
