Youngstown council approves economic deals
YOUNGSTOWN — City council approved economic development deals today with three entities.
The proposals will go to the city’s board of control for final approval.
The deals would be for:
•The Federal Building on West Federal Street to receive $100,000 from the city; not have to pay building permit, and water and sewer tap-in fees; and a real property tax abatement of up to 100 percent.
•Oh Wow! Roger and Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science and Technology for a grant of up to $62,000 to pay for 50 percent of the cost of installing new utility lines at 1 W. Federal St.
•B.J. Alan Co. for a waiver on its building permit, and water and sewer tap-in fees for its new building at 1260 N. Meridian Road.
