Hubbard beats Mooney in volleyball tournament

Hubbard High swept Cardinal Mooney in three sets Wednesday night to win a Division II sectional volleyball final.

Hubbard (17-7) beat Mooney (13-11), 25-20, 25-12, 25-14, behind the strong frontline play of sophomore Maris Sarisky and senior Haley Turner. Sarisky was credited with 10 kills, and Turner earned nine kills. Turner blocked five shots, while Sarisky earned seven digs.
