YOUNGSTOWN

Dennis Spisak of Struthers, the Green Party’s candidate for governor, will have a fundraiser and a public meet-and-greet event Thursday at Mahoning County Green Party’s office, 26 N. Phelps St., the first floor of the Pig Iron Press Building. The fundraiser will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m., and the public event will be from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Meeting-date change

BROOKFIELD

Brookfield Board of Education has changed the date of its board meeting from today to 7:30 p.m. next Wednesday at the high school cafeteria.

Candidates night

LEAVITTSBURG

Government-class students at LaBrae High School are hosting a candidates night at the school’s high school auditorium, 1001 N. Leavitt Road, at 7 p.m. today. Candidates and surrogates for various Trumbull County, state Legislature, congressional and statewide races will attend. The event is open to the public.

Senior forum

YOUNGSTOWN

The Mahoning County Department of Job and Family Services will have its annual senior forum from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Covelli Centre, 229 E. Front St. Admission is free.

Agencies participating in the fair include home health-care agencies, nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, hospitals, veterans-services agencies, hospices, senior centers, social-service agencies, medical-equipment suppliers, the city health department and the Western Reserve Transit Authority.

Levy meeting

LEETONIA

Village officials will have a meeting at 6 p.m. today to discuss the 5-mill, five-year additional road and bridge levy on the Nov. 2 ballot. The meeting will be at the Leetonia library, 24 Walnut St. If approved, the levy would raise $116,000 a year.
