Hathaway: Ex’s arrest taught me to be wary

NEW YORK

Anne Hathaway is now at a point where she can joke about her former boyfriend’s admitting he was a con artist. The 27-year-old actress opens up about the ordeal in the November issue of Vogue magazine. Asked to name her “deal-breakers” with men, Hathaway replied, “Uh ... fraud?” and laughed.

Raffaello Follieri pleaded guilty to cheating investors out of millions of dollars by falsely claiming he had Vatican connections that enabled him to buy church property at a discount. He was sentenced to 41/2 years in prison in 2008. Jewelry that Follieri gave Hathaway recently was auctioned off by U.S. marshals.

All joking aside, the actress admits the relationship took its toll. The experience taught her to be “more wary,” she said. “It takes a minute for me to let my guard down, but once I do and I get to know someone, I’m very open, very trusting. Some might say too trusting.”

UK head of military: Halt prince drama

LONDON

Britain’s Press Association says the head of Britain’s military is demanding that Channel 4 withdraw a drama that looks at the crisis that would have ensued if Prince Harry had been kidnapped in Afghanistan.

The 90-minute film called “The Taking Of Prince Harry” explores the political ramifications of a high-profile abduction. Harry served in Afghanistan for 10 weeks until word of his stint leaked to the press in early 2008.

PA reported that Air Chief Marshal Jock Stirrup said the program set for broadcast Thursday could undermine the security of troops in Afghanistan.

The Ministry of Defense acknowledged Monday that Stirrup wrote a letter but declined to reveal its contents.

Celine Dion has been admitted to a Florida hospital to prevent the early delivery of her twins.

The superstar singer is at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla.

The hospital said in a statement the admission was recommended to make sure she’s near her doctors leading up to the babies’ birth.

Her rep said she is due to deliver the twins early next month.

Dion announced earlier this year that she’s pregnant with two boys.

She and her husband, Rene Angelil, are the parents of a 9-year-old son, Rene Charles.

Fox host apologizes for Muslims comment

NEW YORK

Fox News Channel host Brian Kilmeade is apologizing for saying on the air that “all terrorists are Muslim.”

Kilmeade, a host of the “Fox & Friends” morning show, said Monday that he misspoke Friday when he and his colleagues were discussing the appearance last week on “The View” of Fox’s Bill O’Reilly. Two hosts walked off “The View” after they objected to the Fox News Channel host’s saying that “Muslims killed us on 9/11.” They returned after O’Reilly apologized.

Kilmeade said that “not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslim.”
