William Wood and his bride, the former Laurie Johnston, greeted guests at Ciminero’s Banquet Centre in Niles during a reception that followed their 1:30 p.m. wedding on July 31 in Highway Tabernacle Church.

The Rev. J. Randy Davis officiated at the ceremony for the daughter of the Rev. Gary and Lydia Johnston of Canfield and the son of Chris and Denise Wood of Dublin.

The bride’s white satin A-line gown featured a pleated bodice and was enhanced with beaded lace.

Sangria-colored gowns were worn by honor attendant Christina Marian and bridesmaids Katie Bullach; Kristin Law; Karynn Streator, the bride’s cousin; and Leann Wood and Cheryl Zollner, sisters of the groom. Flower girl was the bride’s cousin, Brenna Johnston.

Serving as best man was Joseph Stinolis, and groomsmen were Chris Wood, a brother of the groom; Brian Johnston, the bride’s brother; Peter Laird; Bryan Viers; and Noel Lantin. Ring bearer was Ethan Scalzo, and the usher was Scott Miller.

Mrs. Wood is a seventh-grade science and reading teacher with Licking Heights School District in Pataskala. She graduated from Malone University with a degree in middle childhood education.

Mr. Wood is pursuing a degree in computer science at Purdue University.

After a honeymoon cruise to the Florida Keys and the Bahamas, the couple live in Reynoldsburg.
