JCC plans program on fall prevention

YOUNGSTOWN

The Jewish Community Center, 5050 Gypsy Lane, will present a fall prevention program at 11 a.m. Nov. 8 at the center. Falls are the second leading cause of accidental deaths in the U.S. and most involve the older population.

Speaking on how to prevent falls will be Ben Melnykovich from St. Elizabeth Medical Center, and physical therapists from Humility of Mary Health Partners will be on hand to test participants’ gait and balance.

The event is free to members and will be $5 for nonmembers. For more information contact Melanie Yesovich at 330-746-3251, ext. 182, or at myesovich@jccyoungstown.org.
