Cleveland man arrested in Niles robbery

Timothy J. Wolfe was arrested in Cleveland on charges related to a bank robbery police say he committed here.
Wolfe, 49, of East 55th Street, Cleveland, is charged with robbery, making terrorist threats and disrupting public services — all felonies — in the robbery of Farmer’s National Bank on U.S. Route 422 in Niles Tuesday afternoon, according to a news release from Niles Police Department.
A warrant was issued for Wolfe’s arrest this evening, and he was picked up a short time later by the East Cleveland Police department, the statement states.
Niles detectives drove to Cleveland Tuesday to retrieve Wolfe. He was held overnight in Niles City Jail and is scheduled for arraignment today in Niles Municipal Court.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and the East Cleveland Police Department assisted Niles in the investigation.
