A man was killed Sunday in a one-car accident in Unity Township, Columbiana County, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.

The accident happened at 3:50 p.m. on Hadley Road one mile east of Rauch Road.

Bud T. Linert, 31, of 51117 Hadley Road, East Palestine, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said his car was westbound when it went off the road and hit a tree and a culvert before overturning.

Linert was not wearing a seat belt, police said.

$180K fire damage

The Youngstown Fire Department is investigating a fire that caused $90,000 in damage to a warehouse at 1662 Cherry St. and $90,000 in damage to its contents.

The warehouse was owned by Tony Flilio, who stored concrete forms and a forklift there for a concrete construction company, the department said.

The fire broke out at 8:48 p.m. Saturday. Firefighters had it under control by 11 p.m. No one was injured.

Flu-vaccine clinic

Whispering Pines Village, 937 E. Park Ave., in conjunction with Salem Visiting Nurses, will have a flu-vaccine clinic from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday.

Shepherd of the Valley, 4100 N. River Road NE, will host a senior-wellness fun day from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday.
