Hubbard man injured in Youngstown shooting


HUBBARD — Eric Kilgore Jr., 24, of East Liberty Street, was treated at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, after being shot in the neck Saturday morning.

He was first taken to Forum Northside Medical Center, where officials there called Hubbard police to report the gunshot wound.

Detective James Taafe said Kilgore was treated for a wound caused by a .22 caliber gun. He said the incident is being investigated. Kilgore was unable to tell police where the incident occurred or give any description of his attacker. Kilgore, who is in the Army, is being deployed overseas.
