Nuptial vows were exchanged in the presence of the Rev. Luke Citriglia as Amanda Jilg of Newton Falls and Colin Danks of Austintown were united in marriage on May 29 at Old North Church.
Following the 2:30 p.m. ceremony the couple greeted guests during a reception at Mahoning Country Club in Girard. They have postponed their wedding trip and live in Austintown.
Parents of the bride are Phyllis Jilg of Warren and Michael Jilg of Cortland. The groom’s parents are Paul and Susan Danks of Austintown.
Embroidered lace, metallic accents and crystal beading embellished the bride’s strapless taffeta ball gown. It featured a semicathedral train.
Guava-colored gowns were worn by the bride’s sisters and honor attendants, Stephanie Madorma, Heidi Dingus and Sarah Jilg. Similar gowns were worn by the bridesmaids, Christine Bloom and Amanda Danks Porterfield, sisters of the groom; Arla Esarey; and Ann Marie Martinez. Flower girl was the bride’s niece Rhiannon Dingus.
The groom’s father served as best man, and groomsmen were Bryan Danks, the groom’s brother; Robert Bloom, his brother-in-law; Steven Cordle and Daniel Jilg II, the bride’s cousin; and Dennis Madorma and Joshua Dingus, her brothers-in-law. Ring bearer was the bride’s nephew, Xavier Prater.
Mrs. Danks attended Evangel University and is an assistant manager at Payless Shoe Source in Niles.
Mr. Danks is a packer with Vinyl Profiles Inc. in North Jackson. He attended Mahoning County Career and Technical Center.
