MAHONING COUNTY

Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at seven locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance, and transportation is available. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, Oct. 20: Meatball splash, seasoned potatoes, buttered peas, unsweetened peaches, chocolate chip cookie, and sugar-free Lorna Doones.

Thursday, Oct. 21: Stuffed cabbage, mashed potatoes, green beans, wheat bread with margarine, and sweetened or unsweetened fruit salad.

Friday, Oct. 22: Macaroni and cheese, carrots, unsweetened cinnamon applesauce, rye bread with margarine, pineapple tidbits, chocolate cupcake, and angel food cake.

Saturday, Oct. 23: Cold cut sandwich on a hamburger bun, with mustard/mayo, carrots with ranch dressing, unsweetened mixed fruit, and fruit juice.

Monday, Oct. 25: Vegetable lasagna, glazed carrots, peas, Italian bread with margarine, sweetened or unsweetened diced peaches, orange cupcake, and angel food cake.

Tuesday, Oct. 26: Sausage link on a hotdog bun with peppers, onions and sauce, potato spudsters, and sweetened or unsweetened diced pears.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.25 per meal.

Wednesday, Oct. 20: Meatball splash on a bun, seasoned potatoes, buttered peas, unsweetened peaches, birthday cake, and angel food cake.

Thursday, Oct. 21: Stuffed cabbage, mashed potatoes, green beans, wheat bread with margarine, and sweetened or unsweetened mixed fruit.

Friday, Oct. 22: Macaroni and cheese, carrots, unsweetened hot applesauce, rye bread with margarine, and pineapple tidbits.

Monday, Oct. 25: Vegetable lasagna, glazed carrots, peas, Italian bread with margarine, and sweetened or unsweetened diced peaches.

Tuesday, Oct. 26: Mild rope sausage on a bun with peppers and onions, potato spudsters, and sweetened or unsweetened diced pears.
