SENIOR CITIZENS


55 Plus Club of Mineral Ridge will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church. After the meeting and card games, the members will dine out.

AARP Chapter 4611 will have an executive board meeting at 11 a.m. Wednesday followed by a regular meeting at noon at St. Augustine Church, Parmelee Avenue, Youngstown. Leslie Brazel will speak on Premiere Health Solutions, and Ola Tate will report on the convention. Members will plan the Thanksgiving luncheon, a 50-50 raffle is planned, and refreshments will be served. Members are asked to report illnesses and deaths by calling 330-746-0889. Campbell Memorial High School January and June classes of 1947 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s in Boardman. All members and spouses are welcome.

Coitsville Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at Coitsville Town Hall with secretary Norman Guidos presiding. Devotions will be given by Dorothy Churilla. A casserole luncheon will be served. Croatian Pensioners of Mahoning Valley will meet at noon Thursday at the Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown. Rich Otterson of One Source will speak on senior healthcare. Holy Name Seniors will meet with Mary Calai presiding at 1 p.m. Oct. 24 in Founders Hall. Reports will be given by Agnes Phillips, Betty Sefcik and Gerry Mazzone, and hostesses will be Rose Mary Cervone, Mary Morley, Mary West and Helen Greiner. A $2 attendance fee will be collected, and the entertainment will include the celebration of birthdays, a raffle drawing, and cards and bingo.

Keenagers of Third Baptist Church are meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church to plan activities for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

In lieu of its regular meeting, Liberty 55-Plus Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park for a tour followed by a catered luncheon at the Davis Center. Kay Herberger will preside, and Vi Castor and Mark Eck will serve as hostesses. Cards will be played, and October birthdays will be acknowledged.

Local 2243 U.S.W.A. Copperweld Steel Retirees, (S.O.A.R. Chapter 1-28-10) will have its regular monthly meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday at Local 1375 Union Hall, 684 N. Park Ave., Warren. The guest speaker will be George Perich.

Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Mary Murar will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. SIEU Local 1199 Retirees will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the union hall, 3657 Belmont Ave. There will be a bucket auction.
