GARDEN CLUBS


MONDAY

Garden Gate will meet at 7 p.m. for a service project. Alma Moore will be hostess, and Dorothy Granchie will be co-hostess.

TUESDAY

East members will celebrate the club’s 81st anniversary at 11:30 a.m. in the Kidston Room at Davis Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens. Mary Calai will be hostess.

Gleaners will meet at the Colonial Plaza, Route 224 in Canfield, at 9:30 a.m. for a trip to Columbiana for a program by Linda Ann Bertanzetti, a handweaver.

Trailwood will have a salad luncheon at 11:30 a.m. followed by a business meeting. Hostess will be Sally Foster, and Elsie Kostyo and Peg Shirey will serve as co-hostesses.

WEDNESDAY

St. Michael Garden Guild will meet at 7 p.m. in the parish center. Doe Gallagher, president, will preside. “Gourd Bird Houses” is the subject of the program to be presented by Liz Andraso. The hostesses for the evening are Marjorie Yerman and Ruth Molvin. Guests are welcome.

thursday

Coitsville will have an auction at 6 p.m. with Helen Scharrer as hostess.

Johnny Appleseed will meet at Blazed and Bedazzled, 8414 Market St., Youngstown, at 6:15 p.m. Oct. 21. Members may take food. Karen Hahn and Barb McGarry will be co-hostesses, and Jane Evans will have the door prize.

Mahoning Valley Rose Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Davis Center.

SATURDAY

Sunflower will have a program on medicinal plants. Hostess will be Virginia Byrd.

Garden club events are published Sunday. The deadline is noon Thursday.
