The YSU football team leads Western Illinois 38-34 with 5:27 left in the fourth quarter of Saturday's game at Hanson Field.

Caulton Ray scored on a 10-yard TD run on the first play of the fourth. It was the seventh lead change of the night. Charlie Jouett's extra point try clanged off the upright, something that could loom large later in the quarter.

The Penguins retook the lead -- the eighth lead change of the game -- on a 5-yard TD run by Jamaine Cook, his second of the game, with 5:27 left. Stephen Blose added the extra point to make it 38-34.
