Ohio woman dead after a car full of teens crashes
COLUMBUS (AP) — An Ohio teen was killed early Saturday morning after a car full of teens veered off a country road and overturned.
The Columbus Dispatch reports that 18-year-old Samantha Thompson of Junction City died after the car flipped over in Amanda Township — about 25 miles south of Columbus.
The four other teens in the car — including the 19-year-old driver — were taken to local hospitals. The newspaper reports that the driver’s in fair condition and the three other passengers have been released.
Authorities are investigating what caused the crash. Charges are pending a review from prosecutors in Fairfield County.
