Ohio mayor dies in car crash


MORAINE, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say an Ohio mayor has died in a car crash in southwest Ohio.

Police told The Dayton Daily News that another car struck Moraine Mayor Robert Rosencrans’ car Friday night as he waited to turn onto a highway onramp. The 61-year-old Rosencrans was alone in his car.

Authorities say two adults and a child in the other car were taken to local hospitals. The extent of their injuries wasn’t clear.

Moraine is a few miles outside of Dayton.

City officials there say they were shocked and saddened by Rosencrans’ death. He’s served the community for more than 30 years.
