Austintown podiatrist elected association president


The Eastern Academy of the Ohio Podiatric Medical Association elected Dr. Mitchell Dalvin as its president at a meeting Sept. 30.

Dalvin is chief of the podiatry section at Northside Hospital and is board certified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric surgery. He is involved in teaching surgery to podiatry residents and is on staff at Northside Hospital, St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown and Boardman. Dalvin is an active member and past president of the Austintown Rotary. His private practice is located in Austintown.

Other officers elected were: Vice-President: Dr. Edward Constantino; Treasurer: Dr. James Tavolario; Secretary: Dr. Thomas Groner; and Trustee: Dr. Derrick Jackson. Dr. Thomas Kunkel, the current president of the Ohio Podiatric Medical Association, was in attendance at the meeting. Dr. Richard Schilling spoke at the meeting on the Management of Symptomatic Peripheral Neuropathy.
