2 indicted in 2009 shooting death

A Mahoning County grand jury handed up indictments this week against those accused of killing a 23-year-old city man in 2009.
The grand jury indicted Marcus Rutledge, 24, of Brookline Avenue, and Earl Charity III, 24, of Delaware Avenue, on a charge of aggravated murder with firearm specifications in the Oct. 4, 2009, murder.
Darrick M. Hall, of East Marion Avenue, was shot multiple times and left to die early that morning.
Hall was killed at North Avenue and Arlington Street on the city’s North Side about 2 a.m. Police found him lying in the grass on the east side of North Avenue about 150 feet north of Arlington.
Officers found multiple spent shell casings near Hall’s body as well as keys to a Buick Park Avenue car. The car was about 30 feet from Hall’s body. In the rear seat of the car was a handgun, police said.
A witness told police she saw shadows near Hall’s car and then heard gunshots.

Shannon Kelley, 29, Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, New Middletown, identity fraud.
James Coffin, 55, Brookwood Drive, Boardman, possession of cocaine.
Rashawn Jordan, 23, Tod Avenue, Warren, theft and possession of criminal tools.
Nicholas Rowland, 21, Broad Street, Canfield, corrupting another with drugs and trafficking in drugs.
Thomas Odonnell III, 24, Huxley Road, Berlin Center, two counts of felonious assault.
Loretta Gilmore, also known as Loretta Jones and Loretta Gordon, 53, West Warren Avenue, possession of cocaine and possession of heroin.
Anthony Peeples, 22, East Dewey Avenue, possession of cocaine.
Reginald Young, also known as Kilian Young and Jermaine Beverly, Trumbull Court, Liberty, possession of heroin.
