Trash, treasure sale announced

GIRARD

A trash and treasure sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Girard City Gym at the corner of Market and Main streets.

The Girard High School FIRST Robotics Team is sponsoring the sale, which will offer items from more than 25 families, including clothing.

The team is also having an aluminum can recycling drive through Tuesday. The recycling bin is behind the old Girard High School Gym, on Highland Avenue.

A 50-50 raffle and a bake sale will also be featured.

Proceeds will help the team to cover competition and travel fees as well as costs of equipment and supplies. The team is in its 12th year and annually designs, builds and programs a robot to compete in regional competitions.
