Teen robbers take $80 and Popsicle, police say

Five teens reportedly robbed a man at gunpoint Thursday evening, taking $80 cash and a Popsicle.

The teens took the money from the car’s open-center console and took a Jolly Rancher Popsicle from the passenger seat.

The teens flagged the man down as he was driving home on East Indianola Avenue on the city’s South Side after purchasing the frozen treats.

They asked for a cigarette before one of the teens then pulled a gun, stole the goods, and then laughed as the group ran off, according to police.

The teens were all dressed in black with short hair cuts.
