Season to date: Blaney sits in 40th place in the Sprint Cup standings with 1,113 points. He’s 45 points behind Brian Vickers.

This weekend: NASCAR’s top series heads to Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C., for the Bank of America 500 on Saturday night. Qualifying is today at 5 p.m. (ESPN2). Television coverage (ESPN) begins at 7 p.m. with the green flag scheduled to drop at 7:46.
