Staff report
Boardman
The American Red Cross of the Mahoning Valley is offering Adult CPR classes Saturday mornings to make it easier for those who work during the week to get this valuable training.
A class will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the new facility in the Adamas Plaza, 8381 Market St., Boardman. Another class will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Adult CPR at the main office at 661 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren. Slots are still available for both classes.
Weekday evening classes continue throughout the month. The next class will be from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Monday in Warren and again from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 21 in Boardman. The course fee is $40 and includes take-home material for each participant, and Red Cross certification for successful completion.
American Red Cross CPR teaches much more than compressions and breathing and when to call 911. “Be Red Cross Ready” means you learn to recognize heart-attack signs and symptoms as well as how to administer emergency care and treatment.
To register or to learn more about Red Cross classes in Warren and Boardman, call 330-726-6063 or 330-392-2551.
