The last paragraph of George Will’s column in Thursday’s paper ended mid-sentence. It should have read:
Finally, Curtis Gans, director of the Center for the Study of the American Electorate, reports that this year, for the first time since 1930, more Republicans — nearly 4 million more — than Democrats voted in midterm primaries. This “enthusiasm gap” favoring Republicans may close somewhat by Nov. 2, but that may be too late for many Democratic candidates: Voting began in seven states in September. By Nov. 2, almost 40 percent of all ballots will have been cast.
