2 men indicted in 2009 shooting death

YOUNGSTOWN — A Mahoning County grand jury this week handed up indictments against those accused of killing a 23-year-old city man in 2009.

The grand jury indicted Marcus Rutledge, 24, Brookline Avenue, and Earl Charity III, 24, of Delaware Avenue on a charge of aggravated murder with firearm specifications in the October 2009 murder.

Darrick M. Hall, of East Marion Avenue, was shot multiple times in several parts of his body and left to die Oct. 4, 2009.

Hall was killed on the corner of North Avenue and Arlington Street on the city’s North Side at about 2 a.m. Police found him lying in the grass on the east side of North Avenue about 150 feet north of Arlington.
