Fitch shuts out Perry; Lakeview tops in AAC

Tori Koch had three goals and Kristen Schmidt had two goals and an assist for the Fitch High girls soccer team, which beat Massillon Perry 10-0 on Wednesday.

Lauren Bower, Emily Durina, Kelsey Martin, Mikah Vaughn and Brooke Neal also scored and Kaity Shiley, Jen Shiley, Lexi McWreath, Lauren Paolucci, Adrianna Caruso, Meghan Shonce, Mandi Koch and Durina added assists for the Falcons (11-1-3, 4-1-1 Federal). Jessica Scott had four saves in the win and Madison Chapanar had three for Perry (2-11-3, 1-6).

Lakeview 3, Hubbard 0

HUBBARD

Nicole Moldovan had two goals and Allison Pavlik one for Lakeview (13-3, 8-0 All-American Conference White) as the Bulldogs finished league play undefeated.

Ali Gagne had two assists and Lindsey Clark one, while Elaine Moldovan had two saves and Casey Boldt one.

For Hubbard, Mariah Gordon had 16 saves.

United 4, Youngstown Christian 3

YOUNGSTOWN

Emily Bokanovic had four goals for United, while Annie Mineo scored twice for YCS and Schnavel Wall scored once.

Newton Falls 3, Liberty 0

LIBERTY

Jennifer Bjelac, Brooke Rodgers and Destiny Smith each had goals and Shannon Montgomery had an assist for Newton Falls (12-3-1). Jessica Radcliffe and Alexis Mitchell each had one save.

Victoria Serrano had 15 saves for Liberty (1-13).

Kelli Guarnieri had two goals, including the game-winner with five minutes left, and Erin McBride had both assists for the Eagles (10-5). Kelsey Case had five saves for JFK. For Harding, Jackie Callow scored and Cierra Sparks had 13 saves. JVs: Harding 1-0.

West Branch 5, Minerva 0

BELOIT

Niki Carlton had two goals, while Brandi Snyder had a goal and an assist for the Warriors (8-4-2, 3-1-2 NBC).

Bekah Zets and Briana Rumsey also scored, while Lindsey O’Donnell and Felicia Fowler had assists. Sierra Woolf had one save and Lauren Martig three.

For Minerva, Raychel Blocker had eight saves.

LATE TUESDAY Mooney 2, Springfield 0

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Taylor Sicich scored one goal and the Cardinals scored the other on a Springfield own goal. Rachel Letcher had nine saves for the Cardinals and Jillian Tabaka had 10 for Springfield.

Joel Skidmore scored for South Range on an assist from Andrew O’Leary. Isaac Schuster had 10 saves for the Raiders. JFK stats were not reported.

Late Tuesday Fitch 6, Perry 0

MASSILLON

Sophomore Keanu Shelton had three assists and a goal, Trevor Yacovone had two goals and Joe Soriano and Nate Bowlen each had a goal and an assist for Fitch (9-5-1) in the Federal League game.

Mike Shaffer had the other goal, while Chris Platton (three saves) and Nick Sheely (13 saves) combined on the shutout. Alex Barnhart had five saves and Jared Purdy three for Perry (3-11-1). JVs: Perry 4-2.
