Oct. 6
Criminal damaging: A Mock street woman said a boy spray-painted the interior of her carport and her child’s bicycle.
Fraud: An Oakcrest Drive woman reported someone was using her credit-card number without permission.
Oct. 7
Theft: A woman reported the theft of money and medications from her apartment in the 500 block of West Liberty Street.
Burglary: A man discovered a break-in at a family member’s home in the 100 block of Creed Avenue.
Oct. 8
Theft: A man reported a bicycle stolen from his residence in the 30 block of Mackey Street.
Burglary: To a home in the 500 block of Meadowland Drive.
Menacing: A Hillview Drive man reported receiving a series of threats.
Recovered property: Jackson Township police found a Chevrolet Avalanche that a Hubbard woman had reported stolen.
Identity theft: A Creed Avenue woman reported being a victim.
Oct. 10
Harassment: A West Park Avenue man said a neighbor yelled obscenities at him and refused to stop after he spoke to her.
Possible counterfeit: A worker for Devine’s Shop ‘n’ Save, 529 N. Main St., discovered a possible fake $20 bill.

Oct. 7
Harassment: A Rose Avenue woman said her estranged husband has been sending numerous unwanted text messages.
Theft: A worker for Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream & Yogurt, 4251 Belmont Ave., noticed an undisclosed sum of money missing from a safe.
Oct. 8
Theft: Richard E. Jackson, 66, of 3036 Idlewood Ave., Youngstown, was charged in the theft of liquid soap and other merchandise from Dollar General in the Liberty Plaza.
Breaking and entering: Someone in a black hooded sweat shirt was seen on a surveillance tape using what appeared to be a pry bar to break a front window and enter Subway, 4501 Belmont Ave. Nothing appeared to be missing.
GIRARD
Oct. 8
Assault: A man reported having been punched twice in the face at a residence in the 100 block of Belgrade Avenue.
Aggravated menacing: Police charged 23-year-old Kristopher Rafferty, 126 E. Wilson Ave., Girard, with aggravated menacing after two neighbors alleged Rafferty had threatened them with a gun. Authorities confiscated the firearm, a report said.
Menacing: A North Avenue man said a neighbor threatened to harm him, though the neighbor denied the allegation.
Theft: A worker for a North State Street business noticed $150 and roughly 155 pills missing from her purse.
Criminal mischief: Police confronted two boys, 11 and 13, who they said admitted having thrown small objects from the Mosier Road bridge near Interstate 80. No reports of vehicle damage were filed, though.
Oct. 9
Theft: A North Lorain Avenue man accused his former girlfriend of taking $300 worth of clothing from his residence.
Identity fraud: A Trumbull Avenue man found out someone had used his identity to open a cell-phone account.
Theft: Around 20 compact discs were removed from a car in the 80 block of East Main Street.
Theft: Two people took and refused to return each other’s cell phones in the 900 block of Patricia Drive.
Criminal mischief: A double-pane window was broken at a home in the 200 block of East Howard Street.
Oct. 10
Theft: Police received a report of two stolen bicycles in the 400 block of East Broadway Avenue.
Theft: A woman reported several items missing from her purse while in the 30 block of East Broadway Avenue.
Assault/criminal damaging: A man reported that while leaving a South Market Street business, someone struck him in the side with a pool stick. An employee said the accuser had broken a vehicle’s window.
Aggravated menacing: A North Avenue man reported three or four people shot at his home before leaving in a white vehicle.
Oct. 11
Assault: A charge was pending against a student at Girard High School, 31 N. Ward Ave., after a fellow student reported having been attacked from behind and struck several times.
Criminal damaging: Someone used a bird feeder to break a kitchen window of a home in the 500 block of Joan Avenue and cause an estimated $500 in damage.
