Cooks are invited to chili cook off

MINERAL RIDGE

First Presbyterian Church, 3654 Main St., will sponsor its first annual chili cook off from 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 23. Area cooks are invited to enter the contest by sending their name, address, phone number and a $5 registration fee to the church, P.O. Box 541, Mineral Ridge, OH 44440.

Each contestant will be required to take a full crock pot of chili and a card listing the ingredients to the event. The chili will be sampled and judged by those attending the cook off.

Admission of $5 for adults and $2 for children 3 to 10 will include the chili tasting, cornbread and beverage.
