WYSU mounts annual fund drive
YOUNGSTOWN
WYSU 88.5 FM, Youngstown State University’s public radio service, will have its annual fall fund drive Friday through Oct. 22, with a goal of $110,000.
Everyone who pledges support to WYSU (either as a new member, a renewing member, or with an additional gift) between now and the end of the drive will be entered into a drawing to win a pair of tickets on the Go Ahead Tours 15-day Grand Tour of Italy excursion.
The station will also offer daily prize packages, a new member prize basket, and a Pennsylvania member prize package.
All include an HD Radio.
Contributions to the station’s Fall Fund Drive can be made by phone at 330-941-1481, or through a secure online server at www.wysu.org.
As a result from a grant from the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley, every pledge made this fall will result in Second Harvest Food Bank distributing $30 worth of food to needy families.
‘Trailer Park Musical’ to open
New Castle, Pa.
“The Great American Trailer Park Musical” will open Friday at New Castle Playhouse, 212 E. Long Ave.
Directed by Paula R. Ferguson, the musical will run for nine performances over three consecutive weekends.
Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.
