Shots fired into Hilton Avenue home
YOUNGSTOWN
A South Side woman told police someone fired several shots into her home only a short distance from where her granddaughter was standing.
The 67-year-old Hilton Avenue woman told officers her 14-year-old granddaughter had been getting dressed in an upstairs bedroom at 6 p.m. Sunday when she heard the bullets come through the wall of the bedroom. Police found two bullet holes in the west wall and upper ceiling of the room.
The girl was not injured, but her grandmother told police she was shaken by the situation.
There was a shooting at the same time a short distance away on Hilton Avenue where a 40-year-old woman was shot in the arm and a 24-year-old man was shot in the buttocks following a fight between two females. Police are not saying if the two shootings were one in the same or connected. No arrests have been made.
