A summary of recent criminal activity in Canfield city and Austintown:

CANFIELD CITY

Oct. 4

Theft: Robert McCale, 55, 2237 Ohltown Road, McDonald, was arrested, accused of stealing a package of Bob Evans ham steaks at Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St.

Oct. 6

Warrant: Mark James Gettings, 25, 6735 Highland Ave., Warren, was arrested on U.S. Route 224 on a Pennsylvania warrant alleging burglary.

Theft: $120 was reported stolen by a male student at Canfield High School, 100 Cardinal Drive.

Oct. 7

Theft: A woman told police her wallet, containing approximately $100 in cash and credit cards, was stolen from her shopping cart at Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St.

Warrant: Police arrested Bradley Lawrence, 19, 2945 Roosevelt Drive, Youngstown, on a Canfield Mayor’s Court warrant for outstanding traffic offenses.

Oct. 9

Warrant: Wendy Ann Wolfgang, 44, 287 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland was arrested at W. South Range Road, North Lima, on Canfield warrant alleging failure to appear for a hearing and on a Youngstown warrant.

Oct. 4

Fraud: $200 in unauthorized charges were made to a J.C. Penney account at a home in the 100 block of North Kimberly Avenue.

Theft: An Ohio registration was stolen from a motorcycle in the 5000 block of Interstate Boulevard.

Aggravated menacing: A man was a victim of aggravated menacing at a home in the 2000 block of Redgate Lane.

Theft: Patrick Crisafi, 18, 293 DeHoff Drive, was arrested, accused of stealing nine packs of trading cards at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Telecommunications harassment: A male is a suspect in telecommunications harassment in the 4000 block of Viall Road.

Theft: A GPS was stolen at Boak and Sons, 75 Victoria Road.

Oct. 5

Attempted auto theft: Michael Gbur, 18, 4949 E. Radio Road, was arrested on charges of attempted auto theft and resisting arrest at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle windshield was damaged, possibly by a BB, on New Road at Heron Boulevard.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle tire was punctured at a home in the 1000 block of Eastwind Place.

Personal injury: A postal worker was injured by two dogs in the 200 block of South Main Street.

Burglary: An Xbox, Wii and guns were stolen from a home in the 4000 block of East Radio Road.

Theft: Angela Irizarry, 29, 525 Myrtle Ave., Youngstown was arrested on charges of stealing $50.85 worth of miscellaneous clothes at KMart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Police arrested Nicole Ballester, 28, 81 Terrace Drive, Boardman, for the alleged theft of various groceries and DVD’s valued at $226 at Giant Eagle.

Aggravated burglary: A male suspect entered an apartment and threatened a man inside in the 1000 block of Maplecrest Drive.

Receiving stolen property: Police arrested Jonathon Horn, 18, 1800 Maple Trace Court, on a receiving stolen property charge in the 4000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Oct. 6

Warrant: Police arrested Scott McCleery, 31, 611 Dickson St., Youngstown, on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of drug abuse and drug paraphernalia at Mahoning Avenue and Meridian Road.

Telephone harassment: A woman was a victim of telephone harassment at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

Theft: Fuel was taken from an auto at a home in the 3000 block of Cannon Road.

Theft: $41.02 in fuel was stolen at Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Warrant: Michelle Benner, 29, 2062 New Road, S.W., Warren, was arrested on a warrant for allegedly intimidating a witness at Mahoning County Court No. 4, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A fuel tank was taken from an auto at a home in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Forgery: A man is accused of forgery at Chase Bank, 4243 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Keenan Clark, 44, 1008 Woodland Ave., Youngstown, was arrested, accused of the theft of two bottles of cologne valued at $33.99 at Walgreens, 40 N. Meridian Road.

Oct. 7

Warrant: Police arrested Matt Schall, 44, 37 N. Turner Road, on a warrant alleging failure to appear on traffic and child-support charges at Salt Springs Road and Interstate 80.

Recovered property: A pink bicycle was recovered at the entrance to Cider Mill Crossing, New Road.

Theft: $44 in fuel was stolen at Country Fair, 1143 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Theft: A handicapped placard was stolen from an auto in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was scratched at an apartment in the 500 block of South Raccoon Road.

Burglary: Cash and a Nintendo were stolen at a home in the 300 block of North Roanoke Avenue.

Felonious assault: A victim says he was intentionally struck by an auto in the parking lot in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Lost or stolen debit card: A First Place Bank debit card was reported lost or stolen at Wal-Mart.

Oct. 8

Menacing: A man is accused of menacing at a home in the 3000 block of Sandalwood Lane.

Warrant: Sophie Stefek, 37, 1600 McMyler, Warren, was arrested on two warrants alleging theft, and Charles McNear, 49, 469 Douglas St., Warren was arrested on charges of theft and receiving stolen property.

Recovered property: A 2004 Caterpillar backhoe was recovered in the 1000 block of North Four Mile Run Road.

Theft: A Home Savings Visa debit card was stolen at a home in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.

Fraud: Four unauthorized transactions were made on a credit card at a home in the 2000 block of Penny Lane.

Warrant: Kurt Holtzman, 32, 4046 Lanterman Road, was arrested on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a petty theft charge.

Burglary: Money and pills were taken from a home in the 3000 block of Rebecca Drive.

Lost or stolen jewelry: A wedding ring valued at more than $6,000 was lost or stolen at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A Kit Kat bar was stolen by an unknown suspect at Sheetz, 5499 Mahoning Ave.

Assault: A male was struck by a female in the lobby at Phoenix House, 850 N. Meridian Road.

Menacing: Two unknown females are accused of menacing at Wedgewood Lanes, 1747 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: Lindsey Pugh, 22, 1249 Mulberry Run, Mineral Ridge, was arrested on charges of receiving stolen property and theft, accused of stealing from two vehicles at a home in the 1000 block of County Line Road. Taken were checks, cigarettes and CDs.

Oct. 9

Telecommunications harassment: A man is accused of telecommunications harassment at a home in the 20 block of North Wickliffe Circle.

Warrant: Thomas Cappitti Jr., 35, 3860 Oakley Ave., was arrested on a warrant charging domestic violence in the 5000 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Drug offense: Ryan Bright, 25, 317 Indianola Ave., Boardman, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at Oakwood Avenue and Meridian Road.

Oct. 9

Recovered property: A Pennsylvania driver’s license was recovered in the 300 block of South Canfield-Niles Road.

Warrant: William Carroll Jr., 49, 3702 Action St., Youngstown, was arrested on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a traffic charge at Mahoning Avenue at North Meridian Road.

Recovered property: A wallet was recovered on Yorktown Lane.

Theft: A tailgate was stolen from an auto in the 600 block of South Raccoon Road.

Attempted burglary: A screen was pried at an apartment in the 5000 block of Heron Landing.

Burglary: Two televisions were taken from a home in the 2000 block of Redgate Lane.

Oct. 10

Disorderly conduct: Katie Glunt, 26, 4843 Westchester Drive, was issued a summons alleging disorderly conduct.

Theft: $7 in change and a bottle of OxyContin were stolen from an auto in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Criminal damaging: A window was damaged by a BB gun at a home in the 5000 block of Radcliffe Avenue.

Recovered property: A girl’s bicycle was recovered at Wedgewood Lanes, 1741 S. Raccoon Road.

Warrant: Andrew Wichert, 25, 351 N. Roanoke Ave., was arrested on a warrant alleging drug abuse.

Drug offense: Paul Wodianka, 40, 15235 Mahoning Ave., Diamond, was issued a summons on a charge of possession of prescription drugs at state Route 46 at New Road.
