The Junior League of Youngstown will host a service fundraiser from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Holiday Inn, 7410 South Ave., Boardman. Proceeds will support the organization’s mission of developing the potential of women.

“It’s a Wonderful Life ... In The Mahoning Valley” is the theme for the event, which will focus on honoring three women who have overcome extreme obstacles in their lives. One of the honorees will be selected by the Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic, one by Beatitude House, and one by the Junior League.

To encourage the three women on their journey to a “Wonderful Life,” the Junior League will treat each to hair styling, makeup, a wardrobe and gift cards.

During the event, the Glitter Girls will provide the three women with one-of-a-kind accessories, and their products will be featured at a boutique. Other vendors will be on hand to offer gift-shopping ideas and items.

Included in the evening will be food, wine, raffles, giveaways and creative holiday demonstrations.

A minimum donation of $25 is requested for admission. Guests are asked to make reservations by sending a check to the Junior League of Youngstown, 201 E. Commerce St., Youngstown, OH 44503, or by registering online at www.jlyoungstown.org.
