Italian Festival proceeds allocated

YOUNGSTOWN

During an appreciation banquet on Sept. 17, a check for $45,000, the proceeds from the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Italian Festival in July, was presented to Monsignor Michael Cariglio by Tony Trolio, festival chairman. To date the annual festival has raised more than $350,000 for the church.

In the past 12 years the church has awarded 20 Youngstown State University scholarships of $1,000 each. For additional information on the festival and on plans for the next year’s event, call Trolio at 330-757-2779.
