Investigation continues into Glenwood Avenue shooting

BOARDMAN

The police chief said additional charges will likely be filed in a recent shooting, although no one has yet been arrested in connection with the incident.

Jerome G. Miller, 21, of Youngstown, was found semi-conscious with gunshot wounds to his face and stomach around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, police said.

He was in an apartment on Glenwood Avenue and taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center, reports stated.

The 23-year-old female tenant of that apartment told police that she walked home, entered her apartment and saw two large men in the living room, one of whom had a gun.

The woman ran into her bedroom and crawled out the window, hearing a shot after she ran past the two men, according to reports.

Detectives found two 9-millimeter shell casings on the living room floor.

“I would expect additional charges in this case,” said Police Chief Jack Nichols. The report only has a charge of felonious assault listed.
