First Covenant Church in Boardman was the setting on Aug. 7 for the wedding of Stacie Lee Davis and Brian Michael Hoover. The Rev. Thomas F. Sharkey officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Tom and Kathie Davis of Boardman, and the son of Bill and Nancy Hoover of McDonald.

The bride wore a white satin strapless pickup-style gown accented with a rose petal pink sash.

Pink gowns in individual styles were worn by the honor attendant, Allison Smith, and the bridesmaids, Heather Trolio; Lisa Lugo, the groom’s sister; and Maribeth Wadman, a cousin of the groom. White satin gowns with pink sashes were worn by the flower girls, Lucy Davis, a niece of the bride, and Emily Lugo, the groom’s niece.

Paul Maholtz, the groom’s cousin, performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Jose Lugo, his brother-in-law; and Jason and Ryan Davis, brothers of the bride. Junior groomsman was the groom’s nephew Ethan Lugo, and ring bearer was Ashton Ramsdale, a son of the bride.

Mrs. Hoover graduated summa cum laude from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is employed as the education management information system coordinator for Canfield Local School District.

Mr. Hoover graduated magna cum laude from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in education and earned his master’s degree in educational administration from YSU. He is a seventh-grade teacher in Canfield Local School District and serves as a middle school track coach.

Following a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas, the couple live in Boardman.
