Sts. Peter and Paul Croatian Roman Catholic Church was the setting on June 26 as Nicole Marie Rago and Brian David Thaxton were united in marriage during a 1:30 p.m. ceremony solemnized by the Rev. Joseph Rudjak.

After a reception at The Georgetown in Boardman, the couple left for a honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico. They live in Reynoldsburg.

Vincent and Sheri Rago of Austintown are parents of the bride, and the groom is a son of Earl and Sue Thaxton of Troy, Ohio.

The bride’s strapless gown featured a crystal beaded bodice, a ruched waistline and a corset back The full A-line skirt was embellished with crystals and sequins and flowed into a cathedral train.

Pool blue gowns were worn by the bride’s sister and honor attendant, Amy Yonnotti, and the bridesmaids, Shannon Yonnotti, the bride’s sister; Amy Richardson, a sister of the groom; Lauren McGowan; and Angie Ryan. Flower girl was Reese Beatty.

Serving as best man was Jamie Beatty, and groomsmen were Matt Collins, a cousin of the groom; Bill Garfield; Anthony Rago, the bride’s cousin; and Jeff Lobacz.

The bride is employed by Ohiohealth as an electronic imaging technician in Columbus, and is attending Columbus State Community College.

The groom graduated from Columbus State Community College with a degree in radiography. He is a senior radiologic technologist with Ohiohealth in Columbus.
