Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic was the honeymoon destination of Scott Thompson and his bride, the former Elizabeth Hahn, following their marriage on July 10 at St. Dominic Church.

The Rev. Gregory Maturi officiated at the 1:30 p.m. wedding and a reception followed at Mahoning Country Club in Girard.

Parents of the bride are John and Mary Hahn of Youngstown, and the groom is a son of Linda and Carl Romeo of Boardman and Jim and Marlene Thompson of Poland. The couple live in Youngstown.

Lace appliques and beading enhanced the bride’s satin gown. It featured a portrait neckline, shirred yoke and a royal train.

Calypso and canary colored gowns were worn by Alexis Giansante, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Sharmayne Gay and Maryjo Savage, the bride’s sisters; Jennifer Hahn, her sister-in-law; Alexandra Gay, her niece; Melissa Thompson the groom’s sister; Lacey Giansante; Jennifer Young; Shannon Horvath; Misty Baclawski; Amanda Johnson; and Genine Knapp. Flower girl was the bride’s niece, Paige Savage.

Patrick Thomson was best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Mike Venrose; Joe DeToro; Mike Gay and Jason Savage, the bride’s brothers-in-law; John Hahn Jr., her brother; Frank Rigelsky and Michael Rigelsky, his step brothers; Dwayne Pavkovich; Bryson Gay, her nephew; Joe Cleghorn; and Matthew Stiner. Ring bearer was Landon Hahn, the bride’s nephew. The bride’s niece, Lana Gay, was a miniature bride, and her nephew, Joseph Savage, was a miniature groom.

A graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in human resource management, the bride is an HR/production assistant with CME Impact Metals in Struthers.

The groom, a teacher and football coach with Howland High School in Warren, graduated from Hiram College with a bachelor’s degree in integrated social studies.
