Day of Caring was just for fund

More than $1,500 was raised for the Community Food Warehouse during a recent “Day of Caring” sponsored by Sharon Regional Health System at the Sharon and Hermitage campuses. The fun-filled day included a popular pie-throwing event, during which a gleeful Patricia Sharper-Moore, registered surgical nurse, made a donation for the privilege of tossing a whipped cream pie into the face of Michelle Aurin, SRHS director of surgical services. Organized by Mickey Gula, director of Sharon Regional Community Outreach, and a committee of employees, the fundraiser featured a cookout at both campuses, games, raffles and other activities.
